SUBJECT: Report Proposal for the I-Pad and it’s absence of Adobe Flash

Early in the I-Pad’s release, users noticed that Adobe flash was missing. This is a huge deal to many users considering flash technology is responsible for playing 75 % of all video on the web. Many believe this is an attempt by Apple to control of the content shown on there I pad with the introduction of their new video sharing program HTML5. This will create a new range of advertising opportunities through the online video streaming world.

Need: This report will take a deeper look into the changing landscape of how users view their videos and content on the web. Many sites say they will offer HTML5 when it is released since it is supposed to be much faster than adobe flash. This increased speed of streaming content can turn on a number of new users and therefore create new advertising opportunities.

Topics: The proposed report will cover the following topics
· I-Pads reasons for not using adobe flash on I pad
· Information on the new content viewing program HTML5
· What this means for the competitive landscape of online video content.
· New advertisement opportunities that HTML5 may create
